Ok, now I can post the sunset photo I took the other night. It sure was a beautiful one, too. I almost missed it when I was trying to get a good picture of the resident hawk. It looked like this when I first got to the boat ramp, and I got a few nice pics.
Finally I was rewarded with the gorgeous sight of the sun dropping below the horizon....

Beautiful! Love that second shot with the sun reflected on the water.
I love the first picture so much! The sun's rays are so beautiful!
My SkyWatch is here. Hope you could drop by, too! Happy weekends!
beautiful photos!
I love both of these photos. The sun rays are stunning in the first one, and I love the reflection and peaceful feeling in the second shot.
i'll never get tired of sunsets...they're always beautiful. great shots.
It looks like an amazing one that lasted a few minutes. Very nice!
Great photos! I love the sunrays poking through the clouds. :o)
Such a beautiful sunset. They always remind me as the day closes that God holds the paintbrush and is in control of all the pictures of my life.
Those images are both simply beautiful! I hate to be redundant, since so many others are using the same word, but it really fits. Wonderfully taken.
Oh, and guess what, my fellow caffeine fiend... one of my kids just got a job... at Starbucks! Free coffee!!!!!
About your question at my own SkyWatch: No, I did not use a filter for the starry effect. That "X" happens whenever I take a straight shot of a strong light. I kinda wish I could adjust the angle, but I'll take what I can get.
I really only use the polarizing filter. I'll use that one when there's a reflection off of glass or something shiny and I want to see through the glass or minimize a shiny reflection.
The photos are not click-able for me, but they sure are pretty. I love water reflection shots. Have a great weekend :D
