Skywatchers Unite!

This one was taken on a cloudy day back in March on a drive through Vermont with my mom...the barn in the center is just about ready to fall in on itself.

Next photo is same vacation up to massachusetts, but a much sunnier day. I love the white of the Birch trees contrasting with the sky and other trees.

And last but not least one from yesterday (8/27). Not much going on at the boat ramp, so I tried to get some shots of the gulls flying about. Taken late afternoon, looking south.

So, there you have it. As always click for the larger image, and go here to find links to all the other participants of Skywatch!

what a study in contrasts the two winter shots are. Funny how you can have such different skies isn't it?

I love the contrast between these three images, each very interesting.
My favorite is the soaring seagull, magnificently captured!

The ramshackle barn in front of that moody sky is terrific! Nice SWF post!

Dilapidated barns are a puzzle to me. I see a lot of them, and wonder why they don't tear them down or fix them.

Brrr... those birch trees are a bit scantily clad, revealing a lot of the blue March skies. Soon, those same trees will be in their new back-to-school wardrobes. I'd like to see some of that!

I really like all three, they also complement each other. The first one is a delight, birches I love anyway and the lonely seagull sets of the sky very nicely.

Great series of shots, Kim! The barn must have been magnificent in its day. It looks haunted against the winter clouds. I love birch trees, the bark stands out beautifully.

Hi Kim, Happy SkyWatching! I like this assortment of skies. Probably Vermont was my fave, mostly because I've been to Vermont several times and it's pretty up there.
Thank you for peeking at my lighted church spire and moon in the cloudy evening sky.
BTW, it is a Texas sky.
